My Story
My career path hasn’t exactly been linear.
After studying theater in college, I moved to Hollywood with big dreams and zero safety net. I took whatever jobs I could to stay afloat, working as a production assistant for America’s Funniest Home Videos, selling smoked salmon at a farmer’s market, and catering at awards shows. It was chaotic, unpredictable, and humbling. But it also taught me how to work hard, adapt quickly, and get back up when things didn’t go as planned.
It gave me an early education in resilience. I’d already experienced failure, shame, and uncertainty and learned that I could survive and grow through all of it.
When I eventually moved back east and landed a corporate role at a hospital in downtown Baltimore, I saw a different kind of pressure. I watched healthcare leaders trying to balance overwhelming demands with team conflict, burnout, and the constant stress of not feeling like they were doing enough. I recognized that feeling. I didn’t want that to be my story anymore.
So I dove into learning everything I could about leadership, systems, and how to work in a way that felt sustainable. I got my MBA, attended workshops, found mentors, and started experimenting with new ways of leading. As I applied what I was learning, I found myself sharing it with others, colleagues, teammates, and leaders. They started asking more questions, trying the ideas, and seeing results.
That’s when I realized I wasn’t just passionate about learning. I was meant to coach, teach, and support other leaders.
From there, I moved into learning and organizational development, eventually relocating to Colorado. Over the past decade, I’ve led L&D functions in the nonprofit, public, and healthcare insurance sectors. Most recently, I served as the Director of Learning & Development at a local nonprofit, where I built and scaled leadership programs, coached hundreds of employees, and helped teams improve engagement, trust, and performance, all without sacrificing their time, values, or well-being.
Now, my full focus is coaching and supporting nonprofit senior leaders. I know the weight of that role: the competing priorities, the emotional toll of caring deeply, and the challenge of leading strategically when you barely have time to think. I also know that with the right systems and support, you can lead in a way that’s both impactful and sustainable.
Alongside coaching, I’m a lifelong learner. After completing my masters, I began my instructional design and organizational development studies gaining an Instructional Systems Design certification through the University of Md., Baltimore County followed by an Organizational Development Certified Professional designation through the Institute of Organizational Development. I am certified in Crucial Conversations and Influencer through Crucial Learning and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People through Franklin Covey.
